The Classical Rationale
Rakta dhatu, when polluted by aggravated Pitta and ama, drives chronic inflammatory and vascular disorders that are difficult to resolve through oral medicines alone. Removing a controlled quantity of vitiated blood offers a direct route to relieve the load on the tissue.
